The Old Court House in Chulmleigh is a traditional thatched country inn which offers a range of excellent accommodation. Located in a lovely part of Devon, we are perfect for a relaxing break.
Our inn dates from 1633 and even Charles 1 once stayed here on his first tour of the West Country. The original Royal House of the Stuart Coat of Arms is still on the premises.
We have a variety of beautifully furnished bedrooms available. You can choose from super king/double and single rooms. All the rooms come with a TV. Some of the rooms have en suite facilities.
You can enjoy a drink or two at our cosy bar. We are in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and always have a choice of three real ales. We also offer a lovely range of West Country ciders and other beverages. Delicious lunch and evening meals are available, including many fine cooked recipes. We use as much local ingredients as possible.
We are a great base for exploring a range of attractions in the local area:
Museum of Dartmoor Life.
North Devon Falconry.
Barnstaple Heritage Centre.
