Ashdale House Guest Accommodation is in the beautiful and historic fishing village of Beer, on the south coast within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our guest house is just 300 metres from the beach and a short stroll to the high street where there are a variety of shops, as well as places to eat and drink. Beer is a romantic Devon village visited by people from all over the world set in its own small bay enclosed by chalk cliffs with picturesque stone houses and cottages built on the slopes of the valley above the beach.

Our location means that the beach, shops, bars, restaurants and local bus services are only a few minutes' walk away. A walk along Fore Street back to Holmesdale will take in tea shops and restaurants, art galleries, specialist small shops. Visitors can sit on the 'sun trap' beach at one of the beach cafés amongst the fishing boats and forget the world and its troubles. The local fishermen still launch their boats from the beach landing their catches of fresh fish, crabs, lobsters and scallops all of which are served fresh in the restaurants and pubs or are sold in the fish shop on the hill leading up off the beach.
