St. Benet’s Abbey Guest House offers hotel accommodation in Lanivet, Cornwall. With provenance back to 1411 and restored in the 1980s to become a country house offering guest accommodation, St. Benets Abbey is a Grade II* listed building set in 1.8 acres of grounds with a wooded back drop.
It is conveniently located just off the A30 near Bodmin in the heart of Cornwall and so provides a very accessible base for touring all the county has to offer. In particular the Eden Project is only a short drive away (6 miles). For local amenities it is a short walk into the village of Lanivet which provides a traditional pub, fish and chip restaurant, church, post office and general store.
Although offering all modern comforts the hotel accommodation retains the charm and character of its historical past. The eight bedrooms are well furnished in an individual style, all with en-suites and providing free wi-fi, colour TVs, central heating, hair dryers, and tea/coffee making facilities. The Abbey has ample off-road parking available for guests’ convenience.
All room rates include breakfast which consists of a choice from a selection that includes full English breakfast, cereals, fresh fruit, yoghurts and juices. With notification special dietary requirements can be catered for.
In addition to the room facilities the guest house also has a cosy guest lounge and fully licenced bar, set in the oldest part of the building. The Abbey has a private front garden lined with various trees and shrubs with outside seating for guest use and cream teas – weather permitting!
