Redcoats Farmhouse Hotel is located in Redcoats Green near Hitchin in Herefordshire. From the moment you arrive at this secluded and historic hideaway you will know you are in for a treat. So relax, make yourself at home and let us look after everything.
We have 13 bedrooms at the hotel, each individually styled. There are four rooms inside the house packed full of original features and a further nine in the converted stable block which have been recently refurbished.

Bobbies Room - Our honeymoon suite is located in the oldest part of the house, which dates back to 1480. The suite has exposed beams and a separate seating area. The luxury bathroom features under floor heating, a Jacuzzi bath and a separate monsoon shower.
Johns Room - Our largest room is in the Victorian wing of the house and is so called as our Uncle John was born there in 1918. John’s room has a chaise longue and a half-tester bed.
Superior Rooms - These rooms have king or super-king sized beds. In the pre-tudor wing of the main farmhouse room 3 has exposed beams and a fascinating original fireplace (sadly no longer in use) with very unusual carvings. The bed is a super-king, although also available as a twin. In the Victorian wing of the main farmhouse, room 6 has dual aspect windows and luxury shower. The bed is a king-size.
Superior Rooms (in the courtyard) - Adjacent to the garden in the converted coach-house, room 9 has recently been refurbished. It has a deluxe bathroom with a monsoon shower head over the bath. The bed is king size and there is also a seating area with leather sofa. This can fold out in to a second bed, making this room ideal for families. Room 10 is in the courtyard however it has views across the garden and French windows out to a private terrace. The bed is king sized. Can be connected with room 11 next-door to create a 2-bedroomed suite.
Classic Rooms - Recently refurbished double bedded rooms in our Stable wing, just a short walk, under cover, to our excellent restaurant and bar. All rooms feature a power shower. Room 8 has a super-king size bed or can be a twin room. This room shares a corridor with room 9 so may be suitable for families who require adjoining rooms. Rooms 11 – 15 have king size beds. Room 16 has a double bed.
Small Classic Room - Small but perfectly formed double bedded room in our Stable wing, just a short walk, under cover, to our excellent restaurant and bar.
Come and dine in our award winning restaurant. Our head chef Scott and his team have built our reputation as one of the best restaurants in Hertfordshire. All the food is seasonal and our menus change frequently. Using local produce where possible, including game, but occasionally going further afield to get the very best.
Redcoats Farmhouse Hotel & Restaurant is a magnificent building, parts of which date back to 1480, with delightful gardens set in rolling Hertfordshire countryside it is the perfect place for a relaxing break.
