Kearton Country Hotel is in the pretty North Yorkshire village of Thwaite and has provided guests with a warm welcome and comfortable rooms for many years. The hotel is a short drive from Richmond and is a fantastic base for those looking to explore Swaledale.
The hotel has twelve en suite bedrooms as well as a tea/coffee lounge and craft shop, bar, and a comfortable lounge and restaurant all ensuring that you enjoy a truly relaxing and revitalizing Swaledale experience.
Our accommodation has been tastefully appointed, ensuring guests have a comfortable and homely place to rest their head. Most of the rooms look out over the surrounding hills, some of these views are truly breathtaking. Each guest room is cosy, clean and offers the following:

Coffee and tea is served with tasty homemade ginger biscuits or try one of our popular fruit scones with jam and cream. The coffee shop is open from 11:00 to 16:45 Monday – Thursday and 10:00 to 16:45 Friday, Saturday & Sunday. Hot meals and lunches are served from 12:00 to 15:00. Hotel guests and non-residents with reservations gather in the lounge to relax and place their orders creating a friendly family atmosphere. You are encouraged to mingle and get to know your fellow guests and learn a little about the history of Keartons and the village of Thwaite. Talented chef, Graham Coates, uses locally produced ingredients to create mouth-watering meals.
