You can visit Mill Island this is a quiet park in the centre or Birr that is located on the banks of River Camcor.
You can also visit the Slieve Bloom Mountains, there are many walks and trails through forests, blanket bogs and valleys.
Saint Ruadhan’s Abbey is also worth a visit, Saint Ruadhan founded this monastery in 540 AD which became the most famous of the Munster monasteries.
